TERMS & CONDITIONS
This agreement contains important information relating to the Volunteer Program. It is essential that you carefully read and understand it. By signing this document and paying the non-refundable deposit or full payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to the terms below.
The participant is responsible for arranging and paying for his/her travel to the destination country. This includes airfare and/or other transportation costs to and from the destination country as well as all local transportation costs.
It is the participant’s responsibility to carry the necessary documents when traveling internationally (e.g. valid passport, visa, insurance). VOLUNTEER ABROAD GT may advise the participant on required travel documents, but VOLUNTEER ABROAD GT is not responsible for ensuring the participant’s travel documents are in proper order to travel. Participants are solely responsible for ensuring their travel documents are up to date and valid for their planned travel.
VOLUNTEER ABROAD GT does not provide participants with insurance of any kind. Travel insurance is strongly recommended for each participant and participants should purchase this prior to departing on their trip. The participant is responsible for evaluating and determining the kind of insurance coverage he/she should have.
The $249 registration fee is not refundable at any time after it has been paid. Payment of full registration and full name are required for each guest at the time of registration.
Depending on the reason for cancellation, you may be able to reclaim these cancellation charges (less any applicable excess) under the terms of your insurance policy. Claims must be made directly to your insurance company.
Program fees are due no later than forty-five days prior to the beginning of the volunteer’s program placement. Failure to make this payment can result in a loss of volunteer placement. All program fee payments attract a 6% transaction fee to cover international banking fees and currency charges. Payments by wire transfer attract a minimum transaction fee of US$69.
Your program fee amount will vary depending on the location you choose to volunteer.
If VOLUNTEER ABROAD GT cancels the program for any reason, you are entitled to a full refund. If you wish to cancel your program, you must contact us directly and give notice in writing using registered mail or e-mail to ensure the safe receipt of the cancellation letter.
